Our take
Consider it for a regular workstation when click noise and configurable controls solve recurring annoyances. Fit, software access, and the exact edition matter more than choosing the highest sensitivity setting.
The moment that matters
When a spreadsheet stretches across two screens, repeatedly reaching for the scroll bar can become surprisingly irritating. The MX Master 3S deserves a place on your shortlist if repetitive desk work is the problem you want to solve. Start with the fit of the mouse, then decide which shortcuts you would actually use.
What Quiet Clicks actually means
Logitech describes Quiet Clicks and an adjustable sensor up to 8,000 DPI. DPI is sensitivity: higher settings move the pointer farther for the same hand movement. It is not a score for comfort or work quality. Start with a controllable setting instead of assuming the maximum will feel better. Manufacturer reference: see Sources & method below
The percentage belongs to a specific manufacturer comparison.
Logitech’s EU consumer product page describes Quiet Clicks as 90% less sound power for left and right clicks, measured at 1 m against MX Master 3. This is the manufacturer’s comparison, not our listening test, a claim of 90% fewer decibels or a promise that every button is silent.
Will you use the controls?
Logitech describes app customisation through Logi Options+. That makes software permission a purchase question. If you use a managed work computer, check whether the required app and functions are allowed. Buying a shortcut-rich mouse and being unable to configure it would be an avoidable disappointment.
The part your hand decides
If possible, try the mouse with your normal desk height and notice whether you reach comfortably for the controls. We have not tested the click feel, grip comfort, or fatigue on this model. Treat claims about all-day comfort as a prompt to check the fit, not a reason to ignore discomfort.
Compare the body with your current mouse, then leave room to move.
Logitech Support’s consumer-model document, “Specification - MX Master 3S”, identifies mouse model MR0077 and lists its body as 124.9 × 84.3 × 51 mm (labelled height × width × depth in that document). Use the 124.9 × 84.3 mm top-view envelope for a rough paper space check, with the 51 mm body profile considered separately. These are manufacturer dimensions, not our measurements; they are not taken from the Business or for Mac specification.
| Check | Compare before buying |
|---|---|
| Body and current mouse | Measure your existing mouse in the same orientation and compare it with the consumer-model dimensions above; confirm the exact candidate’s specification. |
| Pad and desk space | Measure usable pad width and depth after allowing for the keyboard, desk edge and other objects. Place the paper envelope within that space. |
| Normal movement | Use your current mouse for one frequent task at your usual pointer setting. Note the area you actually sweep and any lifting or repositioning; a stationary outline does not show this. |
A paper outline checks space; your hand still needs the real mouse.
First mark the body envelope beside your keyboard, then compare it with your pad and the movement you observed. The paper check cannot establish hand comfort, thumb-button reach or the movement area you will need with the new mouse. If a trial is possible, use your normal desk height, check the thumb controls without stretching and repeat one task you often do, such as scrolling a wide spreadsheet. Finally, confirm your connection method, permission to install Logi Options+, and the exact SKU’s accessory list. The consumer support document separates Standard and Bluetooth Edition contents; do not infer receiver or cable inclusion from “MX Master 3S” alone, or transfer a Business or for Mac bundle to your local offer.
A practical buying check
Read the full product name and included-accessory list before comparing offers. Bluetooth Edition, Mac, and other bundles should not be assumed to have identical contents. Plan how you will connect to your actual computer. If your existing mouse already feels comfortable and handles the tasks you need, replacing it is optional.
Buying in your country
Check the listing for your country and the exact model or edition. Confirm the seller, included accessories, final checkout total, delivery charges and return terms; do not assume a US bundle or policy applies locally. Compare the same model and bundle; an imported listing is not automatically the same purchase.

Method: compare the documented features with software permissions, connection needs and the exact edition’s contents. We did not measure click noise, tracking, grip comfort or fatigue. Check the current regional bundle rather than assuming a receiver or cable is included.
